Ship Wrecked
Forty years after it was written on a Commodore 64 with Gilsoft's The Quill, Ship Wrecked Adventure is back. The 40th anniversary edition keeps the 1986 game's rooms, puzzles and scoring, fixes the bugs that could leave a player stranded for good, and now runs on more machines than its authors could have owned between them.
The player wakes on a golden beach somewhere in the South Pacific, with waves lapping at their feet and no boat. Escaping means finding a set of yacht plans, then gathering everything they ask for from around the island: an anchor in the lagoon, an axe and a toolbox in an old grass hut, vines in the tall forest, a parachute caught in the trees above the waterfall, and a lamp to see by in the cave. A troop of monkeys guards the way north until someone thinks to feed them. Build the boat, set sail, and the game reports 100%.
